The Story
Praevius (from Latin “praevius”, meaning “going before”) started with a simple observation: on most projects, the programme is the document everyone depends on and the fewest people can update.
After two decades working as quantity surveyors across the UK, Australia and Poland, we saw the same pattern on project after project. Subcontractors and site teams were held back by:
- Desktop planning licences priced per user, so only one or two people in the company could open or change the programme
- Programmes arriving in different formats: MS Project from one main contractor, Asta Powerproject from the next, Primavera from a third
- Slow weekly updates: progress and date changes collected on site, then keyed in later by the one person with the software

Update by voice or keyboard. Click the mic, say “push frame out a week”, check the live transcript, and the change appears in the Gantt chart. Replies are on screen, and typing always works.
Check the critical path, float and baseline comparison, and run Validate for open ends and negative float.
Export for MS Project (XML) or Primavera (XER), or to PDF and Excel, with a report of anything that could not be carried.
